The Don Gfell Education Center is an exciting new addition to the Thomas Edison Birthplace Museum in Milan, Ohio. Thanks to generous grants and donations, the center offers a variety
of exhibits, including a phonograph that Thomas Edison specifically
created for American soldiers. The center proudly opened its doors
to the public in September 2024.
Donald Gfell, born on January 9, 1942, in Monroeville, OH, was a passionate advocate for education. His enthusiasm for learning and admiration for Thomas Edison inspired the creation of this center, which proudly reflects his dedication.
