The Birthplace is closed on the following days:
All Mondays, Easter, 4th of July, Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Day
Admission & Prices
Income from admission tickets supports the operating costs of the Edison Birthplace Museum. Military, active or retired with ID are free. The Edison Birthplace Museum offers free admission to individual military members, active & retired, year-round. Valid military ID required.

Special Family Rate – $40
2 Adults/Seniors (Any combination) + 2 or 3 children (under 18 years old)
Reservations are recommended for Guided Tours.

Guided Tours of the house are approximately 45 minutes with an additional 15 minute office tour. Please allow 1 hour.
Guided tours are available for up to 9 individuals. If you have a group with 10+ individuals, please call the museum to schedule your tour.
We're a Blue Star Museum
Being a Blue Star Museum lets us give free admission to those currently serving in the United States military—Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard as well as members of the Reserves, National Guard, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps — and up to five family members.
Valid through Armed Forces Day to Labor Day. Valid military ID required.
The Edison Birthplace Museum offers free admission to individual military members, active & retired, year-round. Valid military ID required.
