Planning Your Visit to the Thomas Edison Birthplace Museum

We're excited to welcome you to the Thomas Edison Birthplace Museum! To help you plan your visit, please review the following information:

Hours & Tours

  • The museum is open seasonally. Please check our website for current hours of operation.

  • Guided tours of the Birthplace home are offered in English and are approximately one hour long. We recommend allowing at least one hour to explore the Birthplace, the office, and the Don Gfell Education Center.

Accessibility

We strive to make the museum accessible to all visitors. We understand that our historic building presents challenges, and we sincerely apologize that the Birthplace home is not currently wheelchair accessible. We are actively exploring options to improve accessibility in the future. Please contact us at 419.499.2135 or kbrulia@tomedison.org if you have any questions or require assistance planning your visit.

Service Animals

While we welcome all guests, we regret that we are unable to accommodate service animals, comfort animals, or support animals at this time due to the historical nature of the building and the close proximity of visitors during tours. We appreciate your understanding.
